Staying power.
That defines a blockbuster star from a one or two hit wonder.
Nicole Richie’s father is a major super star with long-term staying power in a group or a solo act.
Lionel Richie Jr. is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and television personality.
He rose to fame in the 1970s as a songwriter and the co-lead singer of the Motown group Commodores. They produced one great hit after another. Some of the chart busters were “Easy“, “Sail On“, “Three Times a Lady“, and “Still” with the group before his departure.
In 1980, he wrote and produced the US Billboard Hot 100 number one single “Lady” for Kenny Rogers.
In 1981, Richie wrote and produced the single “Endless Love“, which he recorded as a duet with Diana Ross; it remains among the top 20 bestselling singles of all time, and the biggest career hit for both artists.
Massive applause.
It is expected that his daughter Nicole might desire to be a part of the entertainment business as well. She is and has been in the business for some time.
Nicole Richie is an American media personality, fashion designer, and actress.

She came to prominence after appearing on the reality television series The Simple Life (2003–2007), in which she starred alongside her friend and fellow socialite Paris Hilton. Richie’s personal life attracted media attention during the series’ five-year run and thereafter.
Understandably.
Now, if her career ended after the end of the show’s run, we could call her a one hit wonder.
But it didn’t.
Following the conclusion of The Simple Life, Nicole continued her career in television, appearing as one of the three judges on the reality competition series Fashion Star.
From 2017 to 2018, Richie starred in her first series regular acting role as Portia Scott-Griffith in the sitcom Great News. In 2020, she became a judge on the reality competition series Making the Cut.
All great news, but now it is time for a drum roll.
Paris Hilton and Nicole are doing a sequel. It will be on Peacock. “The tag line is, When Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie reunite on the 20th anniversary of “The Simple Life,” they celebrate by writing and starring in a one-word opera.”
Great to hear. We want to see more of Nicole.
And others will continue to hear from her as well. Have you heard of Fashionphile?
We want access.
The team at fashionista.com share, “While many know and shop Fashionphile, they may not realize that Founder Sarah Davis started the company 25 years ago as an eBay storefront.”
Now we know.
Guess what? They will be working with Nicole Richie. Breaking news.
