If marketers could capture magic in a bottle it would be the formula to entice the massive teen discretionary income market to buy their products.
Girl, if it was only that easy. It isn’t.
Styles and teen desires are constantly changing but if you can catch it at the right time, your brand could be on fire.
Champion is an American manufacturer of clothing, specializing in sportswear. The brand is a subsidiary of Hanesbrands (based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina), which was spun off by the Sara Lee Corporation. The company was originally based in Rochester, New York, prior to its acquisition by Sara Lee.
Right now, they are hot. Teen red hot.
As printed in Time Magazine on April 16, 2019, “The century-old brand best known for basic gym attire is experiencing an unlikely revival. Champion is a benefactor of three swirling style trends that converged to create a teen and millennial fashion craze: Logo apparel is in vogue; throwback gear has returned; and streetwear—the casual style derived from skateboard and sports culture—is having a moment.”
Their parent company Hanes Brands Inc., the champion of selling traditional white under wear is absolutely enjoying the moment.
The company has had a decade of revenue growth fueled in part by the strength of Champion, its second-largest brand.

As the hottest women in pop culture, models travel in packs. Beautiful girls always do, don’t they? We’ve all known this since high school.
In this series, viewers follow some supermodel friends who are the elite model squad, gracing covers of magazines, advertisements, high fashion designer runway shows, and even fighting for a chance to be a part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Viewers follow these girls as they explore career, life and love in the Big Apple.
We watched the series and loved it.
