Employment news typically falls into the categories of the best of times or the worst of times.
With the devastation to the business sector due to the Coronavirus, you would think that the employment outlook would appear bleak, but fortunately that is not true.
Currently, this is some of the best of times to be looking for work.
Here is why.
On April 2, 2021, as reported by the business news leader cnbc.com, “Job growth boomed in March at the fastest pace since last summer, as stronger economic growth and an aggressive vaccination effort contributed to a surge in hospitality and construction jobs, the Labor Department reported Friday.”
That is great to hear.
As we move up the timeline to April 14, 2021, the team at pewresearch.org add, “Employment in February 2021 was 8.5 million less than in February 2020, a loss that could take more than three years to recoup assuming job creation proceeds at roughly the same monthly rate as it did from 2018 to 2019. But a faster recovery is possible if the job gains seen in March 2021 are sustained in the coming months.”
That is the upside question. Can the economy sustain and even add to those job gains?
The outlook is bright and as certain industries make a comeback, the United States government plans to lend a hand.
There has been this school of thought that less government is better but they are millions of Americans that hope the government continues to get involved in a big way. Especially with more stimulus checks.
We move up the timeline again to April 28, 201 where the global news source usatoday.com surmises, “Democratic lawmakers in both chambers of Congress are clamoring for a fourth round of stimulus checks to help Americans who are still struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic.”

Lowe’s is hiring more than 50,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time U.S. store associates. Candidates can apply in-person at Lowe’s stores nationwide from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 4.
